The Kookaburra plays an important role in Australia because, according to legend, a god commanded these birds to greet the morning with a loud laugh to wake up the people so that they would not miss the sunrise! On her left shoulder, the initials ‘JC’, the initials of the coin designer Jody Clark, are emblazoned in small letters.
