Refinery

In order to bring precious metals into a tradable state, the raw ores or processed metals must be separated from impurities. Various processes are used for this purpose in so-called refineries, depending on the type of impurity and metal. Precious metal products are also melted down in refineries in order to be converted into semi-finished products.
