1 oz Robin Hood 825th Anniversary Silver Coin 2019
The obverse
It shows the legendary Robin Hood in a very striking pose – either attacking or defending, depending on how you look at it. Equipped with two arrows and a bow, and clad in armour, he is in a forest, which is indicated by a few leaves surrounding him. In the 16th and 17th century, Robin Hood, the hero of English poetry and ballads, was considered a champion of justice for the poor and needy, who robbed the rich and then distributed the stolen goods to the poor.
