The Isle of Man series located between Great Britain and Ireland is a self governed British Crown Dependency. In 1972 after the Isle of Man and The Pobjoy Mint of Tadworth, Surrey, England signed a contract to mint coins for the state, they began producing coinage in order to commemorate this collaboration.
