A used 1g gold bar is the more affordable version of the smallest standard bar. The bars come from various LBMA-accredited refiners and each 1 gram gold ingot is made of fine gold with a purity of 999.9. The bars are supplied loose, usually without a blister pack or certificate, and may show light signs of handling.

How does a used 1g gold bar differ from a new one?

A used 1g gold bar contains exactly as much fine gold as a new one. Usually, all that’s missing is the sealed blister and the certificate of authenticity. That’s why StoneX Bullion generally offers these bars at a noticeably lower premium than new 1g gold bars in blister packaging. You can see the current price live in the shop.

Prefer a new bar in its blister?

Would you rather have your bar in its original packaging with a certificate? We also stock new 1g gold bars in sealed blisters, such as the Argor-Heraeus 1g gold bar and the 1g bars from Valcambi and PAMP Fortuna. You’ll find the full range in our 1g gold bars category.
