Certificate

Most bars, but also many collectable coins are delivered with a certificate. In addition to the minting, this certifies the authenticity, fine weight and purity of the delivered product. In addition, the serial number and in most cases the signature of the respective responsible precious metal inspector is noted. The usefulness of certificates is controversial. In trade certificates usually play no role, they rather represent an adaptation of the manufacturers and private customers. Investment coins are only rarely delivered with a certificate, as the minting of the nominal value is a guarantee of authenticity from the respective government.
