The Obverse Side

It takes you to the Somali steppe and shows you two bull elephants fighting each other. The embossing is characterised by a particularly lifelike depiction of the mighty animals. You can also read the words "AFRICAN WILDLIFE", "ELEPHANT", the denomination "1 oz" and the purity of the fluted coin "Ag 999.9" - "Ag" is an abbreviation for the Latin word "Argentum" and means "silver".

The Reverse Side

Here you can see Somalia's somewhat martial-looking coat of arms, flanked by two leopards, each standing on a hind paw and holding a shield with a star in their paws. They are framed by the words "SOMALI REPUBLIC", below which you can see the minting year of the Bavarian Central Mint "2024" and the face value of the fluted coin of "100 SHILLINGS", which in this case is 100 Somali shillings.
