Obverse

Here you can see the personification of Britain or Great Britain. Britannia is a symbol of the national community, but also of wisdom and the naval power of Great Britain. For these reasons, the state mint "The Royal Mint" has chosen this motif for coins and other products, such as this silver bar, since 1987. Here she is shown in profile, looking to the right, against a fluted background. She is wearing a somewhat oversized, almost artistically designed helmet from under which her long, pleasingly wavy hair peeps out. In her hand she holds the trident typical of Britannia. The name "BRITANNIA" can be read at the bottom left edge.

Reverse

In addition to the shield logo of the Royal Mint, "The Royal Mint" is prominently displayed against a corrugated background, a security feature, just like on the obverse. You will also see the denomination "10 oz" and the fineness "999 FINE SILVER". The fine weight of this 10 oz Britannia | Minted silver bar is 311.035g.
