1/4 oz Britannia Charles III Gold Coin | 2024

You are acquiring a truly opulently designed and minted coin featuring the portrait of the new British King Charles III from your StoneX Bullion Shop!

The Obverse

This reeded-edge coin showcases Britannia, the national figure of Great Britain symbolizing British values and the embodiment of English naval power. Britannia has been the motif for gold coins minted by The Royal Mint since 1987. This coin now incorporates new anti-counterfeiting features to prevent illegal imitations.

You'll see Britannia gazing sideways, armed with a helmet, shield, and sword. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice wave-like designs filling the background. Observing the British flag's division, you can identify a shield held in her right hand, symbolizing her fortitude. The edge inscription reads "BRITANNIA", the year "2024", the weight "1/4 oz", and "999.9 FINE GOLD". Beneath the ground on which Britannia stands, you can discern the name "NATHAN", denoting Philip Nathan, the artist who created this motif in 1987.

The Reverse

The reverse features the first coin portrait of King Charles III, crafted by sculptor Martin Jennings and personally approved by the King. You may notice that Charles, unlike his mother Queen Elizabeth II, who always looked to the right, gazes to the left. The surrounding inscription reads "CHARLES III", along with the letters "D G REX F D" and the nominal value of this exquisite coin, "25 POUNDS". "D G REX F D" are the initials of the British motto "Dei Gratia Rex Fidei Defensor", which translates to "By the Grace of God, King, Defender of the Faith".

Anti-Counterfeiting Features on the Obverse

To prevent unauthorized imitations, The Royal Mint, renowned for its meticulous work, has incorporated several distinctive features. On the lower left side, you'll notice a reeded circle. Depending on your perspective, this circle may resemble a trident or a padlock. The wave-like background reeding and the reeding on Britannia's shield are also designed to deter imitations. Approximately at the height of the letter "N" in the inscription "999.9 FINE GOLD", you'll discover a very small incused inscription that reads "DECUS ET TUTAMEN", meaning "An Ornament and a Safeguard" in English.

You can acquire this magnificent, truly opulent 1/4 oz Britannia Charles III Gold Coin | 2024 with just a few clicks from your StoneX Bullion Shop to enrich your portfolio. Upon receipt of your payment, it will be promptly delivered to you, protected in a plastic pouch against damage and dirt!

Britannia 1/4

Y si la pequeña Britannia de 3'1 ya es preciosa, la de 1/4 es sencillamente espectacular.
